James in another remote part of the world.

It has been an exciting and productive year for Vail Fine Art and for the artists we represent. Four such artists are found here and on the inside of this newsletter.

The Vail Valley brings both summer and winter world-class adventures. Soviet Era Master Impressionist Vassily Petrovich Kossenkov was an adventurer in his own right. He traversed hundreds of miles of the vast Russian landscapes, sketching and painting as he went. He explored these remote areas during the bitter cold of winter and the muggy heat of summer. The result was one of the best collections of Soviet Impressionist Landscapes available today, exclusive to our galleries. Look for his catalogue raisonne this fall. His work will be available starting July in our galleries. Please come and see it.

We are also thrilled about a hard-bound volume of Fedor Zakharov’s collection of artworks and biography, coming this fall. This large, coffee-table book is resplendent with hundreds of never-before-seen beautiful photographs, commentary from leading art critics, and candid shots of the artist and his family. Both old and new connoisseurs will be engaged for hours with this stunning vista of one of the greatest Impressionist Painters to have emerged from the Soviet Era.

Pavel Shumov, born in 1964, has quite successfully mastered the Soviet Era Impressionist style, and can be found in collections in eight countries. When you see his paintings, you’ll understand why.

Finally, we would like to congratulate the clients who have purchased artworks by Yuri Yuroz throughout the many years that we have represented him. He is ranked as “Unique among artist in America” and a neo-Cubist conceptually comparable to Picasso, Braque and Gris, by renowned artist, art educator and art critic, Bruce Helander in his new book, Learning To See. Yuroz was also admitted into the New York Art Expo’s Hall Of Fames in March of this year. Look for both the book and his group of artworks in our galleries.

We love exploring the vast world of fine art, and sincerely thank each and every one of our clients for continuing this journey with us. WE look forward to greeting you again this summer in the Vail Village and adding to your collection of artworks as well as your libraries.

Sincerely
James G. Tylich
